G. Rohr's men book their place for the upcoming FIFA world cup which is to be hosted by Russia during the summer of 2018. Nigeria became the 1st African nation to qualify having picked up 13 points so far with just a match to go. They won the likes of Zambia, Algeria & Cameroon to get the 9 points before going away to draw Cameroon.

Former Nigerian skipper, Austin Jay Jay Okocha's cousin 'Alex Iwuobi' came off the bench to gift the Eagles the valued lone goal tonight as they celebrate the win.
