Integrity {Part II}

Question and answer on Integrity.

Presenter: We welcome Miss Adeyanju Opeoluwa life on BlogSpot. And today we’ll be taking integrity as a case study. Opeyanju, can you tell us what you refer to as integrity?

Opeyanju: I take integrity to be an undivided or unbroken completeness or totality with nothing wanting…WHOLENESS, UNITY.
Sometimes success, riches, wealth, prosperity, friends, challenges to mention a few will come and go and at some point may visit again but INTEGRITY stands.

PRESENTER: hmm, amazing. Any other idea on Integrity?

OPEYANJU: Well, I believe the integrity of an individual is his completeness. And by that I refer to every part of his life excluding nothing. It is a state of total obedience, holding on to your word at all times, having a quality of honesty with strong moral principles.

PRESENTER: That’s really captivating though, but the heart-breaking thing is that we do not live in a world of integrity anymore. Do you think we can still live a life of integrity?

OPEYANJU: A big yes goes to that.

PRESENTER: HOW can we do that?

OPEYANJU: I discovered that great people follow some integrity steps. Here are mine:

  1. Define your values: Know what you truly believe in, know what you stand for and where you are heading to.
  2. Analyze every choice you make: I believe at age 15 at most, we fully know our rights from our wrongs. We should learn to make the right choices in every issue we find before us and choose to be responsible for those choices. Be your personal judge.
  3. Encourage Integrity: Living a life of integrity will distinct us from the crowd because we have an uncommon character. A strong sense of self-esteem, unbeatable self-confidence and Humility are attitudes that will help greatly when under intense pressure to compromise. And these are attitudes that we should build in ourselves and also younger generations, making it our daily bread.

PRESENTER: I believe integrity is usually tested. What's your view on that?

OPEYANJU: Yes, it is usually tested by friends, relatives and close ones but mostly tested when no one is watching to know how solid and firm the person's integrity is.

PRESENTER: Thank you very much Miss Opeyanju, Can you round up on the topic integrity?

OPEYANJU: Okay, I conclude by saying, your integrity is what determines your reputation and as I have noticed, all it takes is a single bad choice to destroy a life’s time worth of integrity!

Finally, Remember honesty and integrity aren't values that you should live by when it's convenient but at all times.

Thank you.

  1. I have read all post on this blog and I must say this post goes down as one of my best post, the element of surprise and the new style just gave a new look and a better view, kudos to you on that.

I got confused with miss ope's first comment on her reference to integrity, big words don't do it anymore not that there was any big word just that it could have been explained in simpler words so I advice simple words to easily pass messages to we d readers cos u can't well be sure who and who is reading d post, but integrity was further explained and described.

I agree with all miss Ope's view and think God also or even life itself test our integrity. nice work.

lastly on a lighter note are we sure it is miss ope or soon to be Mrs ope or already Mrs ope cos u done so well I think I should apply if it is still miss ope

We have been witnessing cleaning exercises but this one got a different grading. Heroes Nation Social Change Ambassadors did a very wonderful sanitation exercises at Ipata Market, Ilorin, Kwara State. Where the SDGs (Goals 3, 6 & 13) were the Focus of the Sanitation and Sensitization today. The exercise commenced at 7am with the presence of the Nigerian Red Cross Ilorin Chapter, Corp members of sanitation and environment CDS, Kwara State ministry of environment and some volunteers who heard about the project from friends and social media publicity. While the sanitation exercise was going on, a group of heroes nation ambassadors took time in sensitizing the buyer and sellers present at the market on the benefit of staying dirt free using different Nigerian languages, this created a bond between the heroes nations representatives and the Ipata Marketers. This activity revealed some of the heart cries of some of the marketers who marveled at the energetic, cheerful and interactive ...

Love Language

Love Language This is the way of expressing one's love feelings towards one's family, friend, spouse, girlfriend, or any other loved one Primary Language of Love: I refer to this as the best preferred way or act to express one's love to another person. Major Love Languages are: 1. Words of affirmation 2. Giving of gifts 3. Acts of service 4. Quality time 5. Physical touch All humans have one or more of the 5 major Love Languages as part of their attribute. They show it unconsciously to everyone they get closely related to. Most people don't know their Love Languages and that's part of the reasons they have interpersonal problems relating among friends, associates, colleagues, families etc. Love Languages aren't only for people sexually related or people in love but exist among friends and family. It is the way you presently relate with siblings, families and friends that you most likely extend to that soul mate of yours. Some people don't s...

APPRECIATED

It’s always a hurtful thing when we don’t feel appreciated or loved when we perform a good deed or help out in different ways that we can, especially for people we hold dear to our hearts. Funny thing is, everyone (Like God, our father) loves to be appreciated or acknowledged for a job well done or for a stitch in time that we make, and there is nothing wrong with that. In a small way we are all heroes. For us to acknowledge the work of others or the effort of friendships or any kind of relationship in our lives, we need to have an increased measure of sensitivity and a heart of gratitude. These magic words are short, simple to understand and are easy to apply but are not used as often as they should: Thank you, I love you, that’s thoughtful, Please, That’s thoughtful and I appreciate it, you did a great job; keep it up, etc. As important as words can be, nothing is more proving of your gratitude than your actions. Actions speak louder than words, you know? Another way to s...
