Integrity (Part 1)

   Integrity

   Very popular but less functional.
Integrity is simply the state of being wholesome (i.e. sound and healthy, promoting moral and mental well-being) and unimpaired (i.e. not rendered less effective).

Let's do a simple mental class. Give your own definition of integrity while I give mine.

STATE-BEING OF SOUND AND HEALTHINESS/WHOLESOMENESS.
Integrity is taking your first bath of the previous day around 12:30 am of a new day.

STATE OF UNIMPAIRED.
Integrity is starting a meeting by the set time regardless the number of people present so as to be able to meet the set closing time of that meeting

On the other hand, Integrity is doing the right thing at the right time in the right place with the right materials with or without the right people to watch, supervise or judge.

Are you a being of integrity? Do you keep to you words? Have you a firm Yes and a solid No? Do you compromise a little bit? Do you bend your values and standards to please others? Then you need to make a decision to start living a life of integrity.

A life of integrity is a life of sincerity, honesty, uprightness, rectitude, unity, wholeness, purity, goodness, probity, virtue, and decency. Let them be complete in you and see how interesting life would be. Life is stocked with greatness only when we have Integrity + Relationship with God as our password.

Friends, choose today, to live a life of integrity!

Please do not forget to tell me your definition of INTEGRITY. This is the first step to take, no one is watching. I’ll be glad to receive your definitions.

Thank you for reading and do have a wonderful week ahead.

  1. I for one belong to the school of thought that certain concepts like integrity cannot be fully defined, we often opine that words cannot fully interpret, explain, express and elaborate the meaning of these concepts in everyone's mind. but for this occasion I can simply regard it as being pure or honest to another regardless of situation even if it means bending some things but staying on d ryt track, the world is in disarray u need to bend sometimes contrary to ur opinion to have or show integrity

    1. Yeah, someone with a plain character, really true but do you know someone could be with an unquestionable character and still not live an integrated life. Think abh it, it's very possible

  4. Integrity has to do with your ability to say or do something under the umbrella of a positive cause, and stand by what you did under every negative circumstance.

  7. Nice writeup. Keep it up.
INTEGRITY should'nt be confused with PERFECT. One who is SINCERE in his/her dealings could be tagged a person of integrity while perfectness, could be credited to God alone. This explains why three blind men touching an elephant from different part will describe it in different ways. Man cannot be faultless he appears either good or bad according to individual sentiment. We should be mindful of our obligations to Man as we should to God. Therefore, integrity is being sincere to God and Man because service to humanity is service to God.

APPRECIATED

It’s always a hurtful thing when we don’t feel appreciated or loved when we perform a good deed or help out in different ways that we can, especially for people we hold dear to our hearts. Funny thing is, everyone (Like God, our father) loves to be appreciated or acknowledged for a job well done or for a stitch in time that we make, and there is nothing wrong with that. In a small way we are all heroes. For us to acknowledge the work of others or the effort of friendships or any kind of relationship in our lives, we need to have an increased measure of sensitivity and a heart of gratitude. These magic words are short, simple to understand and are easy to apply but are not used as often as they should: Thank you, I love you, that’s thoughtful, Please, That’s thoughtful and I appreciate it, you did a great job; keep it up, etc. As important as words can be, nothing is more proving of your gratitude than your actions. Actions speak louder than words, you know? Another way to s...

We have been witnessing cleaning exercises but this one got a different grading. Heroes Nation Social Change Ambassadors did a very wonderful sanitation exercises at Ipata Market, Ilorin, Kwara State. Where the SDGs (Goals 3, 6 & 13) were the Focus of the Sanitation and Sensitization today. The exercise commenced at 7am with the presence of the Nigerian Red Cross Ilorin Chapter, Corp members of sanitation and environment CDS, Kwara State ministry of environment and some volunteers who heard about the project from friends and social media publicity. While the sanitation exercise was going on, a group of heroes nation ambassadors took time in sensitizing the buyer and sellers present at the market on the benefit of staying dirt free using different Nigerian languages, this created a bond between the heroes nations representatives and the Ipata Marketers. This activity revealed some of the heart cries of some of the marketers who marveled at the energetic, cheerful and interactive ...
